High Heat Hits Los Angeles Firefighters at Church Fire

Firefighters across the country are being overcome by heat while performing their duties.

The sweltering heat continues to take a toll on firefighters across the country.

The ambient temeratures were nearly 105 Tuesday when Los Angeles firefighters tackled a fire in a San Fernando church, KTLA reported.

One firefighter was transported while three others were treated at the scene.

They were overcome while they worked to access hard-to-reach spaces and snuff out flames inside the attic of the approximately 7,000-square-foot church.
